About Us

My love for animals has been a lifelong passion. As a child, I was raised in a home full of Pekingese dogs. I routinely showed these dogs as a Junior Handler and continued breeding and showing even after I was married. Through the years I learned about and studied Animal Husbandry, was able to take some kennel management courses along with some Vet Tech courses. In order to supplement my breeding and show activities I became a schooled All Breed Dog Groomer. We continued all this activity until a family illness forced us to stop.

After the family illness resolved I was employed at a veterinary practice. I loved the atmosphere so much that I worked my way up from receptionist, vet tech and finally Veterinary Practice Manager.

In the spring of 1989 we bought our first Siamese cat, to be just a family pet. It did not take long before we fell hopelessly in love with this breed. In 1990 we purchased our first breeding queen. The rest is history…….

It was not long before We became very involved in show production and showing our cats to Regional, National and International status. Most of our cats love “show biz” and of course, I am the proud Mom!

Seven years ago I decided to retire and do what I love most, full time breeding and showing of Siamese and Orientals. Since my family is still in the New England area, it is not unusual for me to drive back east for a visit and bring a few cats or kittens with me that folks have requested!

Minghou Cattery is a registered cattery in both TICA ( The International Cat Association) and CFA (Cat Fanciers Association). We show our cats in both associations.

In the past seven years we have added Oriental Shorthairs to our program since both breeds are allowable outcrosses and Siamese is a parent breed of the Oriental.

If you would like more information about our cats/kittens please do not hesitate to call Pat at 508-395-6000. We encourage anyone who is interested in these loving, sociable cats and our breeding practices and goals to come out to visit the cats and us. Give us a call for directions.
